Hello Everyone,
It is with deep sorrow to share with you the news of the recent passing of Linda Pulliah (RASC Sudbury - Outreach Coordinator) & (North Bay Astronomy Club - Director). Linda passed away on Saturday. She gained the respect of so many of us in the astronomical community who have had the privilege of knowing her. Along with creating many friendships in her world of astronomy, she also was a RASC National Award winning recipient in the role of Astronomy Outreach which she prolifically demonstrated in sharing her passion to various community groups about astronomy over so many years. Her unique personal approach to educating the public about astronomy has resulted in introducing astronomy to virtually thousands of individuals of all walks of life and ages. As a result she had become a great ambassador and vital link to our communities in popularizing astronomy. A feat not commonly earned nor even heard of. She will be sadly missed.

As many of us know, Linda was very involved with outreach. One of her projects was with TIME AND DATE.COM Graham and Anne have posted a tribute to Linda on their website.
We were extremely saddened to learn last week of the passing away of Linda Pulliah in Ontario, Canada.
Linda was a driving force in both the North Bay Astronomy Club and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada-Sudbury Centre; timeanddate was privileged to work with her on a number of our recent eclipse live streams.
In the words of Bill Montague, president of the North Bay Astronomy Cub, “amateur astronomy in general has lost a great person."

Celebrate the life of Lynn Chetwynd who recently passed away. When she retired from Cambrian College, where she was a Professor of Social Services, she and her partner, Mario Plante, moved to Powassan for dark skies.
Lynn was always willing to assist ‘new to the hobby’ people and was an avid list follower. She had observed & logged the 110 Messier List, the 110 Finest NGC List, the Herschel 400 and the Chapman 100 List. Lynn and Mario enjoyed numerous Total Solar Eclipse tours to China, Australia, Indonesia, etc.

North Bay Astronomy Club Celebrates the life of Harold Healy
Harold became involved with the Sudbury Astronomy Club to pursue his hobby, and was President of the club for a number of years Harold often referred to himself as the Great-Know-It-All of astronomy. Harold acquired his Messier and NGC certificates from RASC and SAC. He created and organized the Frozen Banana Star Party (FBSP) which occurred twice a year. A lifetime pursuit of astronomy lead him to be an active member of the Sudbury Astronomy Club and North Bay Astronomy Club. Harold's other wish was to have a huge party, Irish style with his favourite cigars and brandy to celebrate his life with his friends. We will honour his last wish. We will eat, drink and share all of those precious memories we have of Harold.
